PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ:

• Why should I hire a Photographer for my event?

If you like the idea of being able to relive moments from your event for years to come, then event photography is a service that you should definitely consider!  Specializing in weddings, we here at FNA Events can customize a photography package to fit any need.  Photographers are responsible for learning about your day and your expectations, formulating a scheduling, and executing scripted and candid photos throughout the day.  Often times the schedule will change on the fly, the photographer must adapt to any situation and make the best of the time they have and what's being presented to capture.   

• When will the Photographer be arriving for my wedding?

The wedding photographer will typically arrive as hair and make up is concluding.  Typically we will start by collecting details (rings, flowers, shoes, invites, jewelry, etc.) and shoot those in various layouts.  Next is shots of the dress, then the bride with the dress, and so on.  The one thing that can severely throw the schedule off is when hair and make up runs late, especially for the bride.  If this happens we end up having to cut out some of the planned shots.  We will typically aim to arrive 30 min early or more, to compensate for traffic, new locations, and scouting the grounds. 

• Should I consider hiring a second Photographer?

A second photographer is always a great addition to the team for a wedding day.  It's especially useful when the couple is getting ready at separate locations.  A second photographer allows for a second angle throughout the day.  A solo cinematographer can always set up a second camera and roll film, but we can't set up a second camera taking photos, it doesn't work that way.  You need a photographer to frame the shots and operate the camera in hand constantly. 

• Are multiple cameras used for photography? When?

Photographers may carry multiple camera bodies to support different lenses, or change them in and out between one camera body while shooting.

• Approximately how many photos will be in my digital album from FNA Events?

We do not provide raw files or photos discarded by photographer at their discretion.  This is done so that we can only give you photos when you are looking your best.  This protects our images and you.

Wedding Highlights:

4 Hour Event

8-10 Hour Event 8-1200+ Photos.  Max around 2200 photos

2 Shooters: 1200+ Max around 2800 photos. 

Amount of photos will depend largely on what you present at your event!  This includes being on time.  The more action presented the more we shoot.  During each session multiple photos of each pose will be taken to increase the likelihood of the desired frame and composition of the photo.  Examples of full galleries for photography are here.  Wondering 

• Approximately how long after my event will I receive my photos?

Event Highlights are delivered within one week of the event.  This is a standard we hold ourselves to becuase we know how much our customers value the unique service we provide of capturing moments and delivering them digitally.  Highligh

We are very fortunate to provide this service.

Full digital albums are delivered approximately 30-60 days after the event.  

Printed albums are used from favorited photos from digital album and are printed 1-3 months after submitting photos for design.

• What will happen if it rains?

The photographer will scout areas for indoor and outdoor portraits, family photos, spaces for first look, etc.  Ceremony may be a game time decision if we planned for an outdoor wedding and the weather looks iffy either from temperature or precipitation.  The photography team will be ready for multiple scenarios.  We will do everything in our power to get the desired shots either listed on the schedule or on the fly.

• Will we get help with posing for portrait and family photos?​

Part of the photography planning portal will ask for a complete list of family portraits.  We will look to center and balance family photos consisting of a multitude of groups.  Second photographers may gather family and bridal party members nearby for upcoming photos while the lead photographer takes the group photos to save time.
