DJ / ENTERTAINMENT FAQ:

• Will I be able to control music selection at my event?

Fresh New Angle's customized planning portal is an amazing tool to help plan any type of event.  From private parties to extravagant weddings, our planning portal will provide you with the tools to select the right music for your event at the right time.  Music selection for weddings covers everything from ceremony procession / recession for on-site ceremonies all the way to cocktail hour, reception introductions, first dances, and your entire reception.  Play lists for reception includes must plays, a section for dedications, dinner music, and the do not play list so we can make sure your event sounds and feels just like you want it to.  DJ's will use discretion while moving in and out of genres based on the list you provided, order of events, and your guests.  DJ's and Hosts work as a team to move through your play list, read the room, and call audibles if necessary to keep the party rocking!

• Will the DJ take requests at my event?

We love catering to you and your guests on the fly based on music that is requested.  DJ's and hosts will use discretion and ask the bride, groom, or person(s) that have contracted our entertainment services as to whether or not a song may be played if it has been requested and is in question.  We want to make sure that we cater to the majority, especially the bride(s) and groom(s) at weddings.  The last thing we want to do is play a song that ruins the vibe of the party!

• Who will be the DJ / Host?  What's World Tour vs World Tour Premium?

The World Tour Premium listed in packages above allows for selection of a specific DJ / Host if available.  Part of why couples choose FNA Events World Tour Package is that we take initiative in pairing you with an entertainment team based on your needs, location,  and vibe.  Our entire team shares the same philosophy of working as a team with the venue staff, the photo/video team, and your guests to make your event the best it can be.  Both packages cover up to 6 hours, including an on-site ceremony, music for cocktail hour, and reception.  Trusting FNA Events will save you time and money!

• Do the DJ's have backup equipment?

DJ's will bring a backup laptop in case of a crash and backup microphone.  DJ's will have backup speakers in case one goes out.  They will often times bring enough sound that if a top or bottom speaker goes out, they can just turn others up to compensate.

• What if my ceremony and cocktail hour are in different spaces?

We simply move a portable speaker on-site from ceremony to cocktail hour space.  We have portable speakers to reach places without electrical outlets.  We can also cater to off-site ceremonies.

• What is uplighting vs extravagant lighting?​

Uplighting is perimeter lighting for your entire reception area, which is interactive and multi colored.  The DJ / Host will strategically place lights throughout the space, mainly against the walls and any pillars to provide the dseired effect.  Extravagant lighting is also know as spotlight or intelligent lighting.  These lights have moving heads and create a special spotlight effect for first dances, and a club like atmosphere throughout the reception shining various light patterns on walls.

• Can I have Sparklers or Dancing on the Clouds at my event? What are they?

FNA Events provides various types of production for weddings and events.  One of the favorites is the Sparklers, which use cold sparks effects for first dances, and we will use this effect throughout the night as well!  The Dancing on the Clouds effect is for one time use, usually during the couples first dance at a wedding.  The effect uses dry ice and is safe for couples and guest!  Some venues have outlawed some production including sparklers and dancing on the clouds effects because of the residue and or moisture it leaves behind.  Check with your venue to see if any of these effects are banned!

• How will the volume level be controlled at my event?

We here at FNA events know that the easiest way to immediately ruin a party is being too loud!  The music will be loud enough at times to feel like a club but you will still be able to hear yourselves talk.  Not being able to hear conversations is the number one pet peeve of guests and staff alike.  Music will be lowered for dinner sets or announcements.  The music will be played at a volume level that is comfortable for all to hear.

• What is the TV Experience vs Monogram?

We offer a Television experience with one or two TV's on trussing or mounted to the front of the DJ booth.  The TV(s) can host a custom monogram, music videos, photos from earlier in the day from the photography team, or photos from earlier in life that you provide in advance.  The custom monogram we create for you for your special day can be hosted on a TV or projected onto a wall at the venue.

• What are the CO2 Blasters?

Just like it sounds!  Enjoy one of our favorite enhancements with three different variations: just cannons, cannons and guns, or just guns.  The bride(s) and groom(s) can enjoy this exciting enhancement along with their guests.  Double check to make sure your venue will allow this enhancement as well!
